of Greenbrier, AR
November 1, 1931 - March 25, 2025
Marjorie Grace McNulty was born November 1, 1931, to James B. and Edith Muriel Dawe of Burnt Head near Cupids, Newfoundland, Canada. She was a daddy's girl, a protective older sister to brother 'Teddy', and Fanny Bishop's granddaughter who could do no wrong. She was a force to behold even as a young girl.
Grace attended Memorial University in St. John's and taught in a one-room school. During this time, she met Herbert Thomas McNulty while he was stationed at the Earnest Harmon Air Force Base. They had a whirlwind romance and were married in Lake Forest, Illinois, in 1952.
Grace was a wife to Herb for 61 years until he passed away in 2013. She supported his 26-year career in the Air Force moving over 15 times across many states, Germany, and Bermuda, which was one of her favorites to call home. Herb and Grace spent many years in Rochester, New Hampshire, following Herb's retirement from the U.S. AirForce. In 1992, they permanently retired close to their oldest son in Greenbrier, Arkansas, for one final move.
Grace was the mother of 3 boys: Tom, Dennis, and Jim. She spent countless hours sitting in the bleachers cheering on her favorite players no matter what the sport. Her boys meant everything to her, and even though they were a handful, they could do no wrong.
Grace was an avid bowler winning local championships through the years. She was creative and an excellent seamstress and knitter. Her spaghetti and meatballs were amazing and known to start fights on who would get the last meatball. Grace played the organ and sang in the choir. Despite the choir robe, she liked to push buttons to start a good ''discussion/debate'' just because she enjoyed it.
Grace knew how to tell a story, and she had so many to tell! That was a trait she learned from her father. Grace loved fiercely. She was extremely loyal and very protective. Her family meant the world to her and is her greatest accomplishment.
When Grace passed away at the age of 93 years on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Conway, Arkansas, she left a legacy behind. She is survived by her sons, Tom McNulty (Beverly) of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Dennis McNulty (Rebecca) of Hampstead, North Carolina. Grace is survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and son, Jim.
The family would like to thank the office of Dr. Bart Throneberry for all the support over the years caring for Grace. Also, special thanks to Superior Health & Rehab and Gentiva Hospice for making the last days the most comfortable for her.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm, Monday, March 31, 2025, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faulkner County Animal Shelter to honor Grace McNulty. She loved all animals especially dachshunds and cocker spaniels.
Beverly and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you
