Dorothy J. Withers ''Thompson'' of Little Rock passed away early on March 22, 2025. She was a charter member of Rosedale Baptist Church where she served as church secretary until completing her service at age 84. She was a current member of Spring Creek Baptist Church Benton. She was past Worthy Matron, a 50-year member and long-time secretary at Jennie B. Hopkins #79 Order of the Eastern Star. She was an employee of Fausett Mortgage and retired from Regions Mortgage. She had been a business owner alongside her husband of "Withers Gulf" and "Withers U-Haul". She was honored by the John Barrow neighborhood association as one of the ''Women of Stamina'' award recipient.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Alice), Bob and Becky Looney (Terry); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings, Mary Watson, Joe Thompson, Ruth Cary, Doyle Thompson, Rachel Reed, Esther Brown and Michael Thompson. She is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Withers; her parents, Vernie Lee Roller and Eugene G. Thompson; her siblings, Bill, Gene, Jimmy and Johnny Thompson and Sue Beeson.
Her hobbies included reading, playing the piano, crocheting and sewing. She sang solos at church and participated in the choir. She provided many programs for the Eastern Star. She was known for her compassion, wisdom and strength. She was incredibly supportive of her children and their families instilling the love of Christ and helping them understand making a difference.
She was a resident at Evergreen Living Center in Bryant where she continued to have a major impact on staff and residents. Our heartfelt thank you for the care and respect provided to our mother during her time with you.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 with a visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home 10900 I-30. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

I enjoyed seeing and talking with Ms. Dorothy at Ever Green. She wore such a pretty smile and was always ready for a talk. She was adored by her family. She is now restored and in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dorothy was a beautiful lady and will be missed more than she could imagine by family and friends. She was so active and always on the go and I often wondered where she got her energy. I had the HONOR of working with at one of the polling places. She was going before the polls opened and long after they closed. I was honored to call her my aunt.
She will be missed but we know where she is and know she LOVES where she is.

Condolences to all. Dorothy was in our family for many years and will be missed. She had a beautiful voice and taught me many a song to sing throughout my youth. My sister, Dorothy, lived a life of service, all of her life and she was an inspiration to me and many others, every step of the way. The world feels different without her in it, but Heaven is sweeter because she is there. She is happy and whole, and I have so many special memories! Rest in peace now. What a great reunion in the sweet by and by! Love you forever.
