Michael David Prater, age 58, passed away from a long illness on March 18th, 2025 in his home. He was a loved father, son, and PawPaw.
Michael was born in San Diego, CA on January 6, 1967. He was the son of Max Dale Prater and Wanda Lee Prater.
He leaves behind his oldest son Randy Prater (Kayla) of West Memphis, AR, daughter Tommie-Grace Wann (Dylan) of Jonesboro, AR, daughter Maura Prater of Oak Park, IL, and five grandchildren McKenna, Estelle, and Max Prater, Aelyious Prater and Alana Wann.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Max and Wanda Prater, two brothers, Mark and Randy Prater, a sister, Sherri Harbor, and son Caleb Michael Prater.
Michael will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Hey Mike I love you man, cousin and friend. I am going to miss you and all the fun times we had together. I’m not going to be at the service today but just know I love you and always have loved you. (I’m out of state working you know me always looking for ways to make more money lol). We go way back , I remember when I was 10 and you were 2 yrs old I baby sit you and rode you on my shoulders with that big pasifier in your mouth. I am thankful to have a friend like you all the fun times we had together :going out to the movies, cooking out , eating out, casino, all those long nights staying up when Perry was there laughing and joking until 3 in the morning. You always were a night person. Back when we worked together at the Fairways at Marion me ,you and Loretta painting apts at night we even made work fun. It truly broke my heart when I heard about your passing -thanks for letting me lean on you after Perry passed away. You always was a good listener and let me vent lol. I will miss you so much! Say hi to Perry , Nick and all our family in heaven for me. Love you, see you soon.

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. Did his hair for many years and became good friend's. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Sending prayers for comfort in the days ahead.

Mr. Michael was always polite, fair and sweet to me and mine! I’ll miss the man, and pray for the family, but I know he’s gone to a better place. Seeing lost loved ones and feeling nothing but happiness.
