Geneva Sue Palmer, 83, a resident of Lamar passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 in Atkins. She was born on February 22, 1942 in Clarksville to the late William Marion and Ola Faye (Roberts) Sisk. Geneva was devoted to healthcare at Johnson Regional Medical Center for almost 50 years. She also loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Louis Palmer; one granddaughter, Amanda Palmer; two sisters, Mary Jo Clark and Patricia Gail (Sisk) Holman and her husband, Gayland Holman.
Those who are left to cherish the memories of Geneva are her three daughters, Pamela Palmer, Diana Palmer and Marion Palmer; one brother-in-law, Mack Arthur Clark; five grandchildren, Paige Boyd, Teresa Hern, Rodney Palmer, K.T. Turner and Ryan Turner; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous additional family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas. Her family will have a memorial service for Geneva at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Holman Church in Lamar, Arkansas with Brother Ira Taylor officiating.
I worked with Geneva at JRMC for many years, we would have to stop and talk about the families and how they were doing every time we ran into each other in the hallway. She was A very special lady and will be greatly missed. Geneva was so lucky to have the family that she had and she loved you all so much, she was A very proud mother and grandmother. Keep her memories close to your heart
I'm sorry to hear of Geneva passing. She was a great nurse and lady. My mom worked with her at the hospital. Prayers for family and friends of Geneva.
