Martha Francis Lierley, 94, of Conway passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was born in Springdale, AR on December 10, 1930. Her parents, Gunter and Lucile Preston Brooks, a brother, Jim Brooks and a sister, Mary Brooks Gibbs, preceded her in death.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Harrison of Conway, her son, Dayton Gunter and wife, Gaye of Austin, TX; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Martha was a guiding light and inspiration to her family, which she loved deeply. Over the years, Martha was a member of several Presbyterian Churches, including most recently Grace Presbyterian Church in Conway. A devoted Christian, she loved her church and church family, serving as both Elder and Deacon, chairing various committees and singing in church choirs, she also had leadership roles in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). Martha was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and proudly served her country as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the 1950s.
A funeral service, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, March 29, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Conway, with a visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. The interment service will be held at 4pm on Saturday at Shady Grove Cemetery in Springdale, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Grace Presbyterian Church building fund at 1010 Hogan Ln., Conway, AR. 72034, or the Military Women's Memorial in Washington, DC.

Dayton & Jenny, so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of your mother. She was one of the wonderful “second moms” in my life during our time at Woodland and FHS. I remember and still appreciate her kindness and calmness and dry wit.
