Margarette Woods Brown, 72, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 of natural causes.
Margarette was born on October 1, 1952 in Jonesboro to the late Wilson Stewart and Vivian Margarette Patton Woods. Known as G-Ma to her grandchildren, she was always prepared to serve up their favorite treats like only a grandmother could do.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Brown; her children, Stewart Haynes (Candice) of West Memphis, Caleb Haynes (Sara) of Birmingham, Alabama, Jason Brown of North Little Rock, Lacey Skates (Dusty) of Amity and her cherished grandchildren, Hudson Haynes, Naomi Haynes, Luke Haynes, Marilyn Brown and TJ Glouner.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22nd at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. Visitation will immediately precede the service beginning at 1p.m.
Margarette and I grew up together and went to church at Rosewood Methodist. Our parents were great friends (Jimmie and Thomas Dill) we spent lots of time playing games at each other’s homes. We were in MYF together. I’m so saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I have such fond memories of our young years.
I did not know Mrs. Brown personally, but I remember how she and her husband ministered to Brenda and Larry Forbis when they lost their oldest daughter to a car wreck. From that perspective, I know she lived her life to serve Jesus. Thinking and praying for all her family and friends at this time. Sincerely Chris Shoemake
So sorry to hear this, Rusty. Prayer for you and your family...

To know Mrs Margarette was to love her. Her love for the Lord was so profound and obvious. You never saw her without Mr. Rusty. The epitome of what a Godly life and marriage should look like.
