Mary Lee Turner

of Benton, AR

June 28, 1933 - March 16, 2025

Mary Lee Williams Turner, 91, of Benton, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1933 in St. Vincent Township to the late Robert Huie and Ruth Jane Tice Williams. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, Robert Lee Turner Sr.; her son, Robert Lee Turner Jr.; her grandson, James MacCrutheras and nine siblings, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Mary Lee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a deep love for her family and always strived to live a life filled with kindness and integrity. The ninth of eleven children, she was raised in a farming community and spent much of her childhood close to home. She later moved to Little Rock, where she lived with her brothers, Dewitt and Leroy and it was through family connections that she met her future husband, Robert.

In 1973, Mary Lee pursued her dream of becoming a beautician and enjoyed her work for many years. She and Robert worked hard to save for their retirement, though they were never able to fully enjoy a peaceful retirement due to her long battle with Alzheimer's and other health issues. Over time, Mary Lee became wheelchair and bed bound and about seven years ago, she moved into Southern Trace Nursing Home in Bryant, Arkansas, where she received compassionate care from many dedicated healthcare workers. While there are too many CNAs and nurses to list individually, her family is deeply grateful to all who contributed to making Mary Lee's final years as safe and comfortable as possible. Special thanks go to her son-in-law, George, who moved to Benton, sold his home and devoted his time to helping care for both Mary Lee and Robert, ensuring their well-being in every way he could.

Mary Lee is survived by her daughter, Patricia (George) of Benton; her son, Michael (Sheila) of Bee Branch; five grandchildren, Jason Bullard (Barbara), Laura Blohm (Andy), Katie Turner, Cody Turner (Lauren) and Macy Turner and four great-grandchildren, Jacob MacCrutheras, JoElle Turner and Harrison and Arthur Blohm. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law. Mary Lee's loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd, Benton, AR 72015 with Bro. Jim Gardner officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.
