Elizabeth A. Gadberry, age 87, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away on Saturday March 15, 2025. She was born in Lake City, Arkansas on December 2, 1937 to her late parents, James and Hazel Hurdle.
Elizabeth loved teaching children and was a substitute school teacher and Sunday School teacher for many years. She was very involved in her church and enjoyed helping with many bridal and baby showers. Elizabeth also loved to garden and grew beautiful flowers that she planted around her yard. She was a sports fan and enjoyed watching Razorback basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals with her husband, Earl, during their many years together. Elizabeth was an excellent cook and especially loved making cookies and treats for her grandchildren. She loved reading the Bible and while raising her 2 children, she instilled the Christian values that have become a cornerstone in their adult lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Earl Gadberry; one sister, Edna Washam and one brother, Fred Marvin Hurdle. Survivors include her two children, Cindy Harben (David) and Earl Gene Gadberry, Jr. (Kathy) all of Maumelle, AR; two sisters, Marie Lentz and Thelma McElroy (Bo); four grandsons, Dustin Harben (Brittany), Adam Harben (Stacey), Trey Gadberry (Ashley) and Jacob Gadberry; 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR, with Chuck Monan officiating. Burial will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, AR.
The family wishes to thank the numerous caregivers for their care and support over the last 13 years, including Vanessa Lewis, Elder Independence Home Care, Favor Homecare, House of Three, Gentiva Hospice and most recently, the loving care and support at Hospice Home Care-Comfort Care Center.

I had the privilege of living just a few houses away from the Gadberry family growing up. It was easy to see she was a great wife and mother. I know she will be deeply missed by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
