Linda Kaye Branscum

of Bigelow, AR

August 5, 1955 - March 16, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Kaye Boozer-Branscum, age 69, on March 16, 2025. Linda was a beloved mother, daughter, nana, sister and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on August 5, 1955 in Hughes, AR, Linda spent her retirement years in Toad Suck, AR. She was an active member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Conway, AR, where she faithfully served as the church Treasurer. Linda worked as a Human Resource Manager at Leather Brothers in Conway for 16 years, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism and caring nature.

Beyond her career, she was a rock to her family, the glue that held them together. As the unofficial family social chair, Linda took great joy in planning family get-togethers and vacations, ensuring that the moments they shared were filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Linda was the boss of the family, being the first born she took after her Daddy, being determined and hardheaded - which she passed down the long line of family members. She has taught all of the family how to be strong and would hold on to them when they couldn't be. She was the biggest supporter and backbone of the family, stood up strong for what she believed in and loved fiercely. I truly believe she would have gone against anything or anyone when it came down to protecting her family, blood or chosen family.

She enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, sewing and spending time with her family and had a fondness for watching reality TV shows. In her younger days Linda loved being in the driver's seat of race cars alongside her brother and daddy. She also enjoyed going on family camping trips where her impeccable story telling came to life, from scary stories to the Edith Ann voices, which she made up as she went (she was always able to scare the kids real good). Linda's nurturing spirit and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Linda is survived by her two beloved children, Shari Lewis and James Robert Branscum Jr.; her grandchildren, Tanner Blassingame and Lexi Blassingame; her great-grandchildren, Cohen McNeil and Arlie Claire Blassingame; her mother, Ellen Boozer; her sisters, Rhonda (Allen) Smith, Pam (Lindsey) Bates, Laura (Mark) Atwell and Robin (Wally) Akers; as well as a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Gene Boozer Sr. and her brother, Bobby Gene Boozer Jr.

To honor Linda's wishes she will be cremated. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Conway, 29 Beaverfork Road, Conway, AR on March 21st at 1pm.

All are welcome to join in honoring her memory and sharing in the love she gave so freely.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. My heart goes out to all of you. My cousin Linda was more than a mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and cousin and friend; she was Caring, Love, Strength, Happiness, The Rock, The Writer, A Best Friend, The Planner, The Racer, The Story Teller, she’s going to be missed very much, she will forever live on in our hearts and in each memory we all have of her. Her beautiful smile, beautiful eyes and beautiful soul has touched each one of us in so many different ways and she will continue to live on in our memories and in our hearts. I’m grateful that I got the chance to know my cousin the last ten plus years; Im thankful she created the Boozer Family News and the other page and she took the time to tell our grandparents and relatives beginning stories. Most importantly, I’m so happy that my mom and I got to spend Thanksgiving with Linda and my aunt Ellen and my cousins and their family this past year. You’re going to be missed very much, continue to watch over your family from heaven.

I always remember Linda as being the leader of her siblings. She was the protector of all the family. She loved her family and they were ALL beholden to her. My sons. Chris and Brian Boozer always looked up to her and truly loved her! I see her happy and healthy in her new spiritual body. What a reunion there is in Heaven! Amen

I love you very much Aunt Linda. We are sure gonna miss your big heart and your strength to pull us all together. Say hi to Dad and please use that big heart one more time to put in a good word with the big man for me. And yes I pray to him too but if it comes from one of his best soldiers it may go a long way. My work isn't finished on this earth but I will see u again.
