January 19, 1933 - March 14, 2025

Ernestine Mauldin, 92, of Quitman passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born on Thursday, January 19, 1933 to the late Ernest Thurlow and Mary Cordelia (Langston) Herring in Quitman, AR. Ernestine was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her son, Danny and by 7 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (James) Baldridge and her son, Neal (Mary Beth) Mauldin; brother, Burton Herring; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ernestine loved the Lord, the Church, her family and helping on the farm. She also loved playing the piano, singing, being outdoors and fishing.

Visitation will be at 1pm Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman with funeral services following at 2pm. Bro. J. D. Courtney and Bro. Don Betts will be officiating. Burial will follow at Old Texas Cemetery in Quitman.

The stories she told me about when I was born while working many funerals with roller I realized that our families were so blessed I can’t be sad because angels wouldn’t have us be sad as Bill says I love her as I know she loves me we will see her again Love you Jimmy Reinold
