Barbara Ramey Weedman, age 88, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, March 11,2025. Born on March 5, 1937 in Salinas, California to Charles "Gordan" Ramey and Bernice Skelton Dean. She grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She lived at Parkway Village the last few years where she loved making new friends.

Barbara Ramey Weedman was preceded in death by her husband, Heywood Weedman, as well as her parents. She leaves behind a legacy of love. She was an example of strength and was devoted to her family and friends. She was a woman of faith and looked forward to Christ's second coming.

She is survived by her children, Mark Johnston (Joany) of Mayflower, Arkansas; Steve Johnston of Boaz, Alabama; Dawna Johnston (Craig) of Coppell, Texas and Judith Hill (Mike) of Alexander, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Paxton (Ben) of Claremore, Oklahoma; her brothers, James Ramey (Nancy) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Michael Minton (Nancy) of Columbia, Missouri. She had three grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson (Brian), Ian Johnston(Chelsea) and Danielle Lua(Rudy) and four great grandchildren; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a member of the Little Rock Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Rest in peace Barbara. I am so sorry to hear this. I’m so thankful that we were back in contact the last few years. I will miss our talks. I’m just so sorry not to have gotten back together again after all these years.
