September 15, 1948 - March 9, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmie Harrell Berryhill Sr., a beloved husband, devoted family man and proud veteran, on March 9, 2025 at Unity Health Searcy Medical Center. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife of 24 years, Marila Berryhill and his closest friends, who stood by him through his courageous battle with COPD.

A man of deep faith, Jimmie lived his life with unwavering devotion to God and his family. He served his country with honor in Vietnam, embodying the values of strength, resilience and sacrifice. Beyond his service, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially in driving, a passion that brought him a sense of freedom and peace.

He was a kind and loving husband, a steadfast friend and a man of integrity who touched the lives of those around him with his warmth and wisdom. His unwavering love and commitment to his family will forever be cherished.

Though his battle was long, Jimmie faced it with grace and strength, always comforted by the presence of his devoted wife. His legacy of love, faith and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on March 14, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church with visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass 11:00 AM at the same location.

Rest in peace, Jimmie. Your love and spirit will remain with us always.
