of Little Rock, AR

April 4, 1930 - March 7, 2025

Janet Hinson Harris, (94), of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7th, 2025. She was born April 4, 1930 in Little Rock to the late Leroy and Willie Lee (Billie) Hinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Harris and her brother, Roy L. Hinson.

She is survived by her nephews, Dr. R. Lee Hinson (Marsha), Dr. C. Wallace Hinson (Jennifer); grand-nephew, Alex Hinson (Hannah); great-grand-niece, Caroline; grand-niece, Katherine Hinson (Fallon); sisters-in-law, Dot Hinson and Linda Clements; cousin, Dot Moffett and god-daughter, Jessica Tovar (Miguel).

Janet had wonderful memories of growing up in White Hall and graduated from White Hall High School. She attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now known as UCA).

One of Janet's loves in life was selling real estate. She was one of sixteen charter members of the 1975 Million Dollar Sales Club of Little Rock. She sold real estate for 30 years, for companies including Fausett & Co. and Rector Phillips Morse.

Janet, lovingly known by family as A.J., was an unfailing optimist. Even in troubled times, her amazing spirit and joyful pursuit of life was never quenched. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Little Rock since 1976.

Graveside service and burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pine Bluff on Wednesday, March 12th at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Baptist Children's Home in Monticello, Arkansas or First Baptist Church Little Rock.

Aunt Janet was a precious soul. Those of us who work for Dr. Lee Hinson enjoyed having her with us on various office trips and also outings to the Hot Springs Race Track. We will miss our AJ very much. She was family to us.

Loved visiting with Aunt Janet. I was a backup for Lee when her computer had an issue. She loved sweets with our visits I’d try to remember that.

Aunt Janet has been a part of our family for many many years. At every family gathering always had a big smile and was well dressed for the occasion. We will miss her! Sending you all love and prayers.
