Jim was gregarious and took over the room when he entered. He was passionate about his family, friends, Arkansas Razorbacks, sports, bird and duck hunting, cooking, good food, horse racing, people, politics, sharing his opinions and Heber Springs. Jim was a man of faith who was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. I worked with Jim for several years during my time at TJ Raney/Morgan Keegan. I always enjoyed when he came on to the sales floor - I knew I was about to be entertained! Jim always treated me with respect, and I will ever remember him for that - and his humor! Rest well, Jim!
Will miss Mr. Alexander. It was an honor to meet and care for him. Prayers and condolences to the family.
Jan, I’m so sorry to hear of James Marvin’s passing. You and family are in my prayers. May God give you strength to get through this most difficult time.
Dear Jan and Jaimie, I never thought I would miss a great friend and co-worker so much. He and I traveled to Japan and Europe together on business, but we always had a great time. I am truly going to miss him! I know what you are going through.

Jim was a great guy and good friend who will be missed by so many of us who went to school in Heber Springs. He lit up the room when he entered it. Jim was a fun loving guy and was a joy to be around.
I will miss his phone calls and the many emails we shared through the years
. Jan and Jaimie, my heart breaks for you. I will keep yall in my prayers and pray that you will be comforted by God’s Loving Arms wrapped around you during this difficult time.
Because “Brother Jim’s” office was just a wall away, and because he kept his phone on speaker, I knew a lot about him and heard a lot of great jokes. I think we started at TJRaney &Sons at the same time and spent a lot of time on the road together. And he invited me to lots of great duck hunts. He was one of the most lovable people in our business and he became very successful. Best to his family, especially Jan, and I look forward to seeing you at the memorial. Bob

What a loss. Such a nice man with a contagious smile
Please accept my condolences for the loss of James Marvin and Jace. Losing a member of our old gang is profoundly sad. God bless you, your family and Cecil Louis and his family.
Poor Cecil Louis had to try to educate that gang.
I love you Jan.
