Larry Edmond Hackley, 78, of Sherwood passed away March 4, 2025 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at NLR First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the NLR First United Methodist Church or your charity of choice.

Larry was born November 15, 1946 in Mattoon, Illinois to Raymond and Ruth Gertrude (Haselwood) Hackley. He attended Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, where he obtained his Engineering degree. Larry served as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Jancie Gayle Caswell in Houston, Texas in August 1979. Larry and Jancie welcomed two sons. Ryan and Andrew, into the world in 1982 and 1984. Larry worked as an Industrial Engineer for companies such as Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin. After retirement, Larry enjoyed getting to spend even more time with his children and his grandson, Logan. He also enjoyed traveling parts of the United States and enjoyed spending time with his Sunday School group. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Larry enjoyed working with model trains and other types of model planes and cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth; siblings, Dennis and Cheryl Hackley and wife, Jancie. Larry is survived by his children, Ryan and LeeAnn Hackley of Sherwood and Andrew Hackley of North Little Rock and grandson, Logan Hackley.

Larry Hackley was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

Larry and I had been friends and coworkers for the past 25 years. Together he and Janice raised two outstanding sons. I will miss our fun conversations and his wit and humor. Until we meet again
