Catherine Deloris Lewis-Rooks was born on May 30, 1942 and passed from this life on March 2, 2025. She is joining her beloved husband, Wayne Rooks, SR.; her loving parents, Norvin and Mildred (Rushing) Lewis and her brother, Preston Lewis in Heaven.
Cathy leaves behind a family that will always remember her as the heart and soul of our family. She was the mother and grandmother all of us could turn to and know that she would be there with open arms. She was always available to help and guide us through this life with her special loving touch. Cathy would drive 90 miles an hour to get to any of us if we needed her. She tried to be at every important event in our lives from child birth to graduations and everything in between. We knew she would always be there. She loved everyone whole heartedly and gave all of herself to those she loved. Those whom she loved were the most fortunate people ever. Her love made the darkest days be filled with light.
Left to cherish her memory are three children, Angela Enfield, Bryan Helzer, Wayne Rooks, Jr.; five grandchildren, Tabatha, Wayne III, Andrew, Shelly, Josh; four great grandchildren, Haleigh, Dylan, Mark II, Kayleb; three great great grandchildren, Adalena, Gerome III, Autumn; other relatives and a host of friends. All were blessed to have her and will miss her every day.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at New Beginning Church in Dennard. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the church. Cathy will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and family in Shady Grove Cemetery in Dennard.

I am saddened to hear of you moms passing. I lived down the road from her and on occasion visited her from time to time. I gave her a Pomeranian and she told me about the puppies.
She enjoyed going to bingo. Kathy will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Fly high sweet friend
