Elvin George, 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his home in Elaine, Arkansas surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Manila, Arkansas on Friday, October 10, 1947 to the late Delbert George and Bertie Wideman George. Elvin spent his life farming and raising all kinds of livestock. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding the levee, checking the cows. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Wilma George; son, Edwin George (Regina) of Lambrook; daughters, Kelly Morton (Corby) of Dewitt and Shelly Jackson (Rusty) of Manila; extra daughter, Vickie Guest (Jr.); grandchildren, Hannah Davis (River), Harley Holt (Hunter), Chloe Beth George, Emily George, Hestin Morton, Drew Jackson, Levi George and Luke Jackson; extra grandchildren, Sarah Ullrich (John), Madison Henry (Jordan); great grandchildren, Milam Davis, Hayes Holt, Sawyer Kate Davis, Livi Ullrich, Josie Henry and Andrew Henry; twin brother, Melvin George (Tina).
Elvin is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Bertie George and two brothers, Johnny George and Elbert Lee George.
Serving as pallbearers are Jackie Swindle Jr., Tim Snowden, Ricky Snowden, Delmond George, Christopher George and Bobby Bethune.
Honorary pallbearers are Tony Silvia, Harold Brown and Gery Cravens.
A funeral service for Mr. George will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 9:00a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena. Brother John Compton will officiate.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lambrook Baptist Church at P.O. Box 44 Lambrook, Arkansas 72353.

My heart is heavy to here the passing if Elivn. He was a kind man love to have talks with him an his love for animals was unbelievable. My heart is with the George family. Melvin an Elivn are my cousin on my mother side the family. I will miss him go fly your golden wing cuz ya have earn them .RIP. Elivn. I'll always remember that smile ya gave everyone ya meet .

Dear Wilma, kids & grandkids, Elvin was a very loving and caring person, Steve and I were taking about all those chicken he would grill on Easter and how delicious they were,, he’s going to be missed by many, he definitely loved y’all, just remember all the fun times y’all had with him and know he will be watching over each and every one of y’’all, love you Aunt Wilma & family
