Bob MoellerI am a Veteran.

of Hot Springs Village, AR

September 17, 1947 - March 4, 2025

Robert "Bob" William Moeller passed away peacefully at Salem Place Nursing Home on March 4, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1947 in Hot Springs to Robert and Sami Moeller.

Bob served in the Air Force from 1965-1969 where he was stationed in Germany and Hawaii. He then had a very successful professional life where he worked for UPS, Timex, Castle Equipment and ended as a Vice President at Arkansas Face Veneer. Through work and the military, he traveled to see a lot of the world, including South Africa, China and Italy.

Bob loved hanging out with Jerry, watching the Razorbacks (or passionately discussing football and basketball), playing golf and his dogs. Bob also loved Lake Hamilton. He was on the water and fishing every opportunity he had. He was amazingly talented on a slalom ski.

The highlights of his life, though, were his kids. He would brag to anyone that would listen about his kids and grandkids.

Although Shawn and Tanya enjoyed different activities with Bob (Shawn - fishing and watching sports; Tanya - dancing and singing to the oldies), both share their favorite memory of their father. Every morning before he left for work, he would go into each of their rooms, kiss his fingers, then put his fingers to their foreheads and say, ''Have a good day. Love you.''. Both would pretend to be asleep but cherished that morning ritual. They never questioned his love for them.

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Elisha) Moeller of Vilonia; daughter, Tanya Smith of Little Rock; grandkids, Hayden, Hailey and Madison; his best friend, Jerry Moore and niece, Barb Kolanko.

The family would like to publicly thank the staff at Salem Place Nursing Home for their compassionate and loving care of Bob during the last year of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home.

Bob and I have been friends since we were in the seventh grade at Southwest Junior High School in Hot Springs, AR. We remained friends all of his life and enjoyed visiting on the telephone about Shawn and Tonya, and his grandchildren - Hayden, Hailey and Madison.
Growing up, we spent many hours on the lake, going to Y dances and activities at the Hot Springs High School. I am sorry that Bob won't get to attend our 60th class reunion in October but he will be missed by all of his friends. Rest in peace sweet friend. Kathy Wulff Muse

I loved your Dad. Unlike most of us Finley's he was a very quiet, private person & we must have driven him crazy at times with our much louder and less private personalities. He was there for me during one of the most painful times of my life when many others were not & I will never forget his kindness or him. I am so very sorry for your loss.
