Paul Winford Morgan was born on July 5th, 1946 in Quitman County MS to John F. Morgan and Audrey Morgan. Paul was the 5th child of 8, consisting of 6 boys and 2 girls. Paul grew up farming and fishing.

Paul married Peggy Crouch on July 19th, 1968 in West Memphis AR, where they began their life together. Paul and Peggy had a unique common ground in which they both had polio as children. Paul and Peggy were married for 56 years in which time they raised 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) of their own and helped in raising 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul made his career out of welding and tank fabricating and always took time to follow his passion for fishing. He was blessed with a large family consisting of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, son and daughter in-laws and nieces and nephews.

In the final days leading to his death, he was surrounded by his brothers, sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren there to say goodbye. Paul ended his journey on March 2nd, 2025 at the age of 78 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Audrey Morgan; brothers, John Morgan Jr. and Baby Boy Morgan and sisters, Faye Caldwell and Wilma Blaylock.

He has left behind his brothers, Sammy Morgan, Gerald Morgan and Dennis Morgan; Children, Kim Rains, John Morgan (Heather), Nicole Goad (Chris) and Justin Morgan (Jennifer); Grandchildren, Megan Rains, Paul Shelton Rains, Kaylee Rains, Olivia Morgan, Cheyanne Wilson, Madison Wilson, Masey Wilson, Logan Wayne, Madison Box and Keegan Morgan and great grandchildren, Aubree Cole and Hazel Wren.

I worked with Paul at Newberry Tanks for many years. He was as fine a man as you would ever want to know. He loved his grandbabies. That was all he ever talked about. Rest in peace my friend.
