James Dillard Gentry, Jr., 55, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on Wednesday, December 3, 1969 to James Gentry, Sr. and Martha Powell. James was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Wynne, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie Sue Gentry; mother, Martha Gentry; daughter, Chyanne Jamilyn Gentry; son, Trey Gentry; brothers, Mark Gentry (Candy) and Russell Gentry (Stacey); sister, Rena Corbitt; nieces, Ciera Corbitt (Kyler), Kyleigh Gentry and Isabella; nephews, Sergio, Draegon and Eddie Corbitt, Jr. (Elizabeth); step-mother, Cindy Norman and great-nieces, Alivia Gibbs and Magnolia Corbitt.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Dillard Gentry, Sr. and brother, Devon Dillard Gentry.
Pallbearers will be Mark Gentry, Eddie Corbitt, Jr., Kyler Gibbs, Millard Gentry, Ricky Gentry and Randy Gentry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Gentry and Joshua Bass.
A funeral service for James Dillard Gentry, Jr. will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held 1: 00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. James will take his last ride to the cemetery in his dream truck.
