Susie was one of my first friends when I moved to Little Rock. I moved away in ‘81 and through the years lost touch. So many times when I would come to LR , I would always be in a hurry, and didn’t push my time. If I had, I know, we would have picked up exactly where we left off. That’s the kind of friend she was. Peggy , I know you will miss her terribly but I know too, she prepared you well this time. Stay close to God and you will continue to do well. So thankful we were friends.

Knowing Susie through my friendship with her sister Julia Grace was a bonus to my life. Often Julia would praise Susie and Peggy of their love of God, decorating for the holidays and commitment to their church family. Susie was sunshine in our lives. She is my cousin and I have loved her since she was born. She suffered so much from crippling arthritis but still always had a ready smile and dealt with this in a courageous way. She is free of pain now and is with our lord
