Ronnie Earl White

of Higden, AR

December 2, 1949 - February 22, 2025

Ronnie Earl White, beloved father, son, and brother, passed away surrounded by his children and family on Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Clinton, Arkansas at the age of 75. Ronnie leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, a family that loved him immensely and a multitude of friends.

Ronnie was born on December 2, 1949 in New Albany, Mississippi to Barbara and Edward White. Ronnie moved to Aberdeen, Mississippi in 1963 and lived there until he moved to West Helena, Arkansas in 1968. Ronnie worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad in Helena, Arkansas for many years. He left the railroad to pursue a career in law enforcement.
Ronnie inherited a love of law enforcement from his father who had a long career in the field as well. Ronnie started his law enforcement career as a police officer with the West Helena Police Department. He went on to become the Chief of Police in Elaine, Arkansas. Former Sheriff Kenneth Winfrey presented Ronnie with an opportunity to join the Phillips County Sheriff's Department as a deputy where he served for many years. Ronnie was elected Sheriff & Collector of Phillips
County in 2000 and served the residents of Phillips County until he retired in 2012. Ronnie had a passion for law enforcement and the citizens of Phillips County. Ronnie was well known for his larger-than-life personality. He always had a joke or funny story to tell and was best remembered for his comical phrases.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, Robbie Earl White; his parents, Barbara and Edward White and his grandparents, Zula Hood, Hansel Henderson and Laura and Luther White.

Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Renee White Stingley (Nixon); three sons, Jason White, Ronnie Earl White, Jr. (Nicole) and Collin White (Hayley); three grandsons, Nick Stingley, Preston Stingley and Karter White; two siblings, Bobby White (Debbie) and Laura White; his partner and companion, Carolyn Slane and his beloved dog, Fizzy.

A celebration of life service will be held at Faith Outreach Church in West Helena, Arkansas on Friday, February 28, 2025. Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm.
