Gerald Boals, 87, passed away peacefully from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1937 to Xenophon Jackson Boals and Mamie Cleole Dice Boals in Rondo, Arkansas.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Xenophon Earl Boals (Marie), Amaryllis Cash (Verlon), Joe Ellis Boals (Pat); his twin Sister, Geraldine Pascoe (Jim) and William Everett Boals. He is survived by his wife, Eugenia (Jeannie) Oxner Boals and his sister, Annette O'Neal (Jim).
Gerald graduated from Aubrey High School in 1958 and later married the love of his life, Eugenia (Jeannie) Oxner on July 20, 1962. Together, they built a life filled with love and happiness. They were married 62 years.
Gerald was a retired merchant who owned Boals Grocery in Rondo, Arkansas for many years. He was a dedicated member of Rondo Baptist Church, where he found peace and fellowship in the community. Gerald was a lifetime resident of Rondo who served the community in many ways through his kindness and concern for all.
In honor of Gerald's life, a funeral service will be held at Rondo Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Farrell Eoff officiating. A public visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service. Following the funeral, Gerald will be laid to rest at Marianna Memorial Park, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects. Pallbearers are Chad Fink, Carson Fink, Dennis Jones, Larry McArthur, Brian Brady and Billy Burchfield. Honorary Pallbearer is Dee Burchfield.
