John Michael "Johnnie" McNeill, age 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away at his home on February 14, 2025. John was born in Kerr, Arkansas to his late parents, Mildred and Daniel McNeill. John was predeceased by his wife, Dolores (Dodie) Parker McNeill; stepfather, Omer (O.D.) Dallas and brother, Daniel McNeill (Dolores).
Survivors include 2 daughters, Patti Cassel (Rick) and Vicki Tyler (Jack); 4 grandchildren, Amy Shelby (Jason), Trey Tyler (Sarah), Jeff Tyler (Kristin) and Neill Linebarier; 8 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Dale Parker (Pat). John graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1952 and had fond memories of his friends.
John then graduated from Arkansas State Teacher's College, which is now known as U.C.A. in Conway, in 1956. He married his love, Dolores (Dodie) Parker, during college. From there John went to Quantico, Virginia to attend U.S. Marine Corps Officers Training School, then he was sent to Hawaii as Ordinance Officer in MAG 13, VMA 12. John was discharged from U.S.M.C. in Oakland, California in 1964 and went to work with Breon Pharmaceuticals upon arriving back home in Little Rock. He later joined Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals and spent many years with them. John, along with Dodie and their daughters, loved to travel through Colorado, Wyoming and Montana and also into Canada. John's next job was with Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Memphis as a Division
Manager.
John retired in Little Rock and acquired a second home in Santa Fe, New Mexico and after several years, built a home on the Arkansas River in an area called Two Rivers. During construction, Dodie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. John was Dodie's caregiver and lovingly cared for her until her death.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, February 21, 2025 in the Chapel of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home with visitation at 9:00am. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
Mr. John was my first friend when I moved into my neighborhood. Always happy and smiling. I will sure miss him. Huge hugs and prayers for his whole famiky.

We met John and Dodie during our years with Bristol but Bill was friends with John in pharmaceutical sales. Over the years, we enjoyed our friendship and visiting at their home on the river. They will be missed…rest in peace.
