Ronald Floyd Clowers, a beloved husband, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Tupelo, Mississippi, at the age of 76. Born on October 2, 1948, in Wynne, Arkansas, Ronald lived a full and vibrant life characterized by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Ronald was the son of Floyd Pat Clowers and Billi Jo Clowers, who provided him with a nurturing environment that instilled the values of hard work and kindness. He graduated from Luxora High School in 1966, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to both family and career. Following his education, Ronald proudly served his country as an Army veteran, being discharged from Germany in 1969.
In his professional life, Ronald dedicated approximately 35 years to Southwire, followed by 7 years at Plymouth Tube. His work ethic and commitment to his jobs were a testament to his character and perseverance. However, above all, Ronald was an exceptional family man. He cherished his role as a husband to Gwendolyn Warren, with whom he celebrated 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their partnership was a beautiful example of love and companionship.
Ronald was a proud father and was preceded in death by his sons, Ronnie (Bubba) Clowers and Jason Clowers, as well as his parents, Pat and Billi Jo Clowers. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Gwen Clowers; his cherished grandson, Ethan Williams; and his beloved granddaughter, Karli Clark; his brother: Gary (Lydia) Clowers; his sisters: Sherri (Michael) Godsey, and Diane (Jerry) Delancey. The legacy of love and strength that he built will continue to resonate through them.
A man of many interests, Ronald loved spending time outdoors, tending to his yard, and enjoying the beauty of nature. His laughter was contagious, and he had a unique ability to brighten any room with a joke or a funny face. His spirit was infectious, bringing smiles to everyone who crossed his path. Friends and family will always remember him for his warm heart and jovial nature; he truly had a gift for making people feel special.
The celebration of Ronald 's life will be held at Roller Swift Funeral Home on February 14, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a man whose life was a testament to love, joy, and the importance of family. Ronald Clowers will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we remember Ronald, let us carry forward his legacy of laughter, kindness, and love for family. May his spirit continue to inspire us to cherish every moment and to take care of one another as he so dearly did.
