Janet Lynn Moseley

Janet Lynn Moseley

of Conway, AR

December 28, 1968 - February 2, 2025

Janet Moseley, daughter of James Carroll ''Jim'' and Bettie Sue Moseley, passed away February 2, 2025 at her home.
As a 1987 Conway High School honor graduate, newspaper staff member and participant in Jim Owen's Contemporary American History class, she cultivated an appreciation for the small things that end up being the big things.
Her knack for the visual arts and eye for detail made photography a natural career choice. She leaves behind a studio and multiple hard drives filled to the brim with photographed memories. Her talent elevated the everyday moments and caused you to reconsider their magnitude -- this was her art.
Janet will be remembered for her love of Disney, Snoopy, and all things Hallmark. Her passion for gardening ran deeper than simply planting seeds.

Memorials can be made to the Faulkner County Library, or plant a few daffodils in Janet's honor.

''They say ashes to ashes dust to dust.
I want to be dirt.
I want to mix with the ground and look up at the sky.
I want to be a daffodil.'' - Janet Moseley

Rest in Peace Janet. Your life was well lived, a beautiful soul, a lover of nature and wonderful daughter to Jim and Betty. The world was a better place with you in it and I will be planting those daffodils in your honor.

Betty and Jim, I was so sorry to read about your daughter, Janet, passing. I just happened to bring up Conway obituaries and saw it. I cant imagine how hard it would be to lose a child. I only have one child also....a daughter. I lost my husband in 2010. My prayers and love are with you . Medora Moore

I'm so sorry for your loss! Janet was so special. She took my boys pictures for around 20 years as well as my family of four and my extended family. She was so talented and patient. She spent hours with us and took millions of pictures. I will always treasure her photos. I remember when she retired for about a year and I had to go to another photographer. I was so disappointed. Nobody was like Janet! Every time I came by her studio or talked to her on the phone, We enjoyed talking about anything and everything. She always had a smile on her face and she wasn't just "my photographer" but a friend.

Mr. Jim & Miss Bettie,
I'm so very sorry for loss of my heart sister. Jan was a once in a lifetime gem. She had the gentlest soul. I met her in 5th grade when she befriended the new student from a different country. She was a member of my family & a constant on every 4th of July. I always looked forward to her dump cakes! Jan was with me during good times & all the scary times. Jan showed up the day my momma passed & i hadn't even called her. I can't ever repay y'all for letting my family borrow her countless times through the 46 years i had with her. Please know that y'all are loved & if there's anything i can help you with, Sandy knows how to reach me. Love, Dottie

James Carroll & Bettie,
My heart hurt as soon as I heard of Janet's passing. She was truly a gentle soft spoken soul. She was a natural beauty who also saw beauty in others as well as in every day simple nature that surrounds us all. I'm so sorry for your loss that you will forever feel. -Melynda
