Jessie James Lee, age 77, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2025. He was born May 23, 1947 to Cora Lee Dooley in New Madrid, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Ann of 55 years; daughter, Delinnia (Dee) Lee; 3 sons, Steven Lee, Eric Lee of Conway and Jesse A. Lee of Vilonia; 10 grandchildren, Alesha Swindle of North Little Rock, Allison Meeks, Savannah Frith, Bruce (Jaide) Lee and Izaiah Hightower all of Conway, Evan (Whitney) Lee of Enola, Nicholas Lee of Ward, Dalton Lee of Lamar, Cameron Hefner and Jesse J. Lee of Vilonia; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen (Katie) Gunnett; 2 daughters in law, Angela Lee of Ola and Brandie Jo Lee of Conway; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Cora Lee Martin; brothers, Benjamin Franklin Dooley, Robert Lee, John Lee, Delbert Hooten; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Hooten and June Mae White; one niece, Bobbie Jo Lee; 2 nephews, Allen Defate Lee and Kenneth Ray Lee and one great-grandson, King Triton Frith.
James loved God and he enjoyed going to church, he loved music. He also enjoyed surprising the ones he loved with gifts. He also loved to be outside working in the yard, gardening, spending time with the family. He was an artist and taught all his children to enjoy the same craft and talent as he did.
There will be a celebration of his life at Gap Mission Church with a visitation on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 between 6-8pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 starting at 2pm and following the service we will lay Mr. James to rest at Oak Bowery Cemetery.
James would say ''Miss me but let me go!''
