of Little Rock, AR
August 21, 1936 - February 6, 2025
Wynema Owens, 88, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on February 6, 2025 in Benton, Arkansas. She was born on August 21, 1936 in Norman, Oklahoma to Isaac and Azalea Stewart.
She was a woman of great faith and her church family was an important part of her life. She was a member of Mabelvale Methodist Church for over 50 years and was active in the United Methodist Women's group. She loved traveling and adventure - no matter the destination. Fortunately, her last trip was her dream vacation to Ireland. She cherished time with family and friends and had a special love for her grandchildren and her dogs. Though small in stature, she was a powerful force, especially when it came to standing up for those she cared about or those who could not stand up for themselves.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ovalene Allen; brother, Reece Stewart; nephew, Mark Allen and niece, Lisa Dale.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Waylon Owens; brother, Royce Stewart; son, Gary Owens (Julie); daughter, Vicki Owens; daughter, Valarie Britton (Kevin); grandchildren, Sarah, Jenny, Cory, Elise, Marissa, Paige, Luke, Cali, Daniel and Tori and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Mabelvale Methodist Church in Mabelvale, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m.

Wynema will always have a special place in my heart. The first Thanksgiving I spent with the Owens clan, she had made orange jello with mandarin oranges in it. Now I make it with my dinner every year. I will dearly miss her. All my love and prayers for the family.
Dear Valarie, Vickie and family. You are in my prayers.
Marty and I are so sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Waylon and the family.
