Monte Wayne McIntosh, age 56, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on Sunday, February 25, 1968, in Helena, Arkansas to Charles McIntosh and Wanda Wilkinson. Monte served the community for thirty-six years working for Pafford Ambulance Service and served thirty-two years working at the Barton Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building guns and playing music, but his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family. He played in the bands Deep South, Jukebox Zero's and The Prophecy Singers. He was an avid member of The Church of God in Marianna, Arkansas.
Monte is survived by his wife of twenty years, Glenda McIntosh; daughter, Madison McIntosh- Green (Brent); his mother, Wanda McIntosh- Crouch; two sons; Jeremy and Cody Pruett; grandchildren; James and Shelby Pruett; brothers, Eric McIntosh (Jennifer) and Brock McIntosh (Ember); host of close family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles W. McIntosh; son, Justin Pruett; special uncle, Bo Wilkinson.
The Pallbearers will be Alan Kitchens, Dale Herndon, Tommy Ray Gatlin, Doug Wilhite, Matthew Clairaday and Robert Kennedy.
A funeral service Monte McIntosh will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Twin City Church of Christ in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior starting at 1:00 p.m. Brother Norman Like will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas.
To know Monte was to love Monte. He had a fun-loving personality and never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest and was always making people laugh. Over the years friends became family, and he will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
