She graduated from Victor Valley High School in 1972. Following high school, Anne attended Victor Valley Junior College, earning her RN certification and Associate's Degree in Nursing. Prior to working as an RN, Anne also worked as a Dental Assistant in Hisperia, California.

Anne was passionate about helping others, having been a volunteer firefighter for a time before working in the medical field, serving as an RN for over 40 years in various fields ICU, CCU, OR, ER, Rehabilitation and Dialysis. In addition to her work, Anne was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a practicing Catholic, preferring to attend St. Albert's Catholic Church in Heber Springs.

In her free time, Anne had a love for crafting, crocheting, cooking, playing games, camping, fishing and most importantly spending time with her family. Anne was a beloved Nana that relished in creating memories with her grandchildren and family. She was fond of animals and took ample opportunity to dote on her furry friends. Anne loved music of all kinds and took many opportunities to see her favorite artists live in concert, as well as attending musical productions. Anne believed in living life to the fullest and enjoyed dressing up for holidays or special events with family and friends.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Dewan and Flora Ann (Heard) Treat; her grandparents, William Luther and Eula Evelyn (Rains) Treat and James B. and Theora L. (Sutzer) Heard. Anne was a wonderful nurse to work with. When you yelled “I need some help in here, “ she was there. She was a leader and a friend. You may not see eye to eye on everything but she was always there for you. My friend, I will miss talking to you on the phone.

Anne I’m going to miss you greatly, you were my best friend and partner in mischief. Working with you was a joy, always knew I could depend on you to to care for our patients. Loved our trips. You showed me places and things I never thought I would see. Our many dinners together and the margaritas. Will probably see you soon. Love you

Our mothers were sisters and she was 11 months older than me. I remember going to the drive-in here in Marshall with her when we were teenagers. She would drive all the way from California here to see her grandparents and any car trouble she had along the way she could fix the car herself.
She actually carried extra parts. She was very talented I don’t believe there was anything she couldn’t do. She was always there for her family and friends and she would do anything for you. I remember being with her when she bought all these children books and she put them away and said I got those for when I have grandchildren so I can read to them. I will miss her. All my love to her kids and her grandkids and her sisters and her brothers.
