Linda Jean Mason

of Lamar, AR

June 16, 1948 - February 1, 2025

Linda Jean Mason, 76, of Lamar, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1948 in Hereford, Texas to the late Noel Edward Worley and Carey LaVerne Worley (Wilbanks).

Linda spent most of her life in Friona, Texas where she and her late husband, Calvin Mason, both worked for Hi-Pro feeds. Linda and Calvin later relocated to Clarksville, Arkansas and they owned and operated Hideaway Meadows Bed and Breakfast, as well as raising cattle.

Linda had a love for antiquing. She enjoyed decorating using antiques and things from the past. She had a unique ability in finding and implementing antiques to be used in her home and at the Hideaway Meadows Bed and Breakfast. Linda also loved to spend time reading.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Calvin Lee Mason; one stepson, Grady Mason; one brother, Dwain Worley and her two sisters, Vicki Kuntz and Sandra Robb.

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Diaz (Mike Diaz III) of Kingman, AZ and Beth Perez (Richard) of Knoxville, AR and one Stepson, Shannon Mason (Leslie) of Waco, TX. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Waco, Texas at China Springs Cemetery on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Graveside services will be under the direction of Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.

Funeral Arrangements under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas.

I am so sorry Tammy and Beth for the loss of your mother and my Aunt Linda. May God give you both a sense of peace and comfort during this season in life.
I remember going to Friona a lot while we were younger and spending a lot of time with y’all, I miss our families getting together :(

Linda and I was best friends starting in high school, long time friends and breaks my heart that she’s gone. I know she is walking on streets of gold and surrounded by her family. My prayers are for her sweet girls Tammy and Beth, you was blessed with an awesome mom. I know she left you with wonderful memories.

I've known Linda, Tammy, and Beth for years. Beth and I friends and Tammy and my sister, Chrystina are friends. We all went to school in Friona together. I am so saddened of the loss of Linda. She was like another Mom. She will be missed by many. Hugs to Tammy and Beth...Love y'all!!

We are saddened at the loss of Aunt Linda. We stayed at he home shortly after our marriage and loved the decor of the room of the B&B. I have so many memories of her going back to before Tammy was born, when she took care of my brother and I as "practice" to prepare for her first born, Tammy. But my favorite memory is how when she got together with her sister Sandra (my mom), they both would become chatterbox just like they were kids again.
