Mr. Walter Holt, 94, of Pontotoc, MS, passed away at Oak Grove Retirement
Home in Duncan, MS, on January 26, 2025. He was born to Luther and Blanche
Roy Holt on February 13, 1930, in Bay Village, AR.
He was a retired truck driver, heavy machinery operator, and a member of Valley
Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annie (Galloway) Holt, of Pontotoc, MS;
his children, Cindy Ransom (Claude) of Tupelo, MS; Pamela Ross (Greg) of
Atlanta, GA; Flora Henderson (Bobby) of Walnut, MS; Danny Pennington of
Pontotoc, MS; and Ruth Brunk of Memphis, TN; and fourteen grandchildren and
several great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Mary Hicks and Theresa
Thomas, daughter-in-law Darla Pennington and two brothers, Ralph Holt and Isaac
Holt, a sister Maggie Manning and a granddaughter Dawn Hicks.
Visitation at 1:00 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2025,
and graveside service at 2:00 at Lee Memorial Cemetery with Reverand Dwain
Ard officiating.
