Odell Green, 89, of Searcy departed this life Sunday, January 26, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on September 5, 1935 in Moro, Arkansas to the late Earnis and Lena Green.
He is survived by one son, Rick (Sherry) Green; one brother, Gene Green; several grandchildren including Justin (Ashley) and Brandon (Evelyn) Green, Amy (Brad) Anderson; numerous great-grandchildren including Tytan, Maylee, Luis, Aston, Layla, Angel and Abruie Green, Kaleigh Pearson, nieces, nephews and friends.
Odell is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Billie Jurline Green; his son, Kenny Green and his wife, Vickie; daughter-in-law, Glenda Sue Green and great-grandson, Xaivier Green; several brothers and one sister.
Odell and his wife, Billie were Pastor's of Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Clarendon, Arkansas before their retirement to El Paso, Arkansas. Odell had a Pastor's heart which required a kind and gentle spirit, enjoyed talking to whoever would listen, loved his family and grandchildren. He and Ms. Billie would hit Walmart several times a week and when they got there, they would split up; he'd hit the clearance aisle and lawn and garden hoping to find a bargain.
Visitation will be10:00am Wednesday, January 29, 2025 with service to follow at 11:00am at Searcy First Assembly in Searcy, Arkansas. Interment will be at Salem cemetery in Moro, Arkansas.
