Janet Carol Broadwater Brown entered into the presence of the Lord on January 25, 2025.
Janet was born in Batesville, Arkansas on March 5, 1954 to Dale and Margaret Broadwater.
She was a Batesville High School and Arkansas College (Lyon) graduate. Janet was a devoted Christian who accepted Christ at a young age. She was also a devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was known for her happy, sweet spirit, kindness and natural ability to make others feel special.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Allen Brown. She is also survived by her daughter, Candice Swaim (Shane); grandchildren, Trent and Carlee Swaim; sisters, Diane Arnold (Tom), Linda Wade and Karen Lambert (Barry); brother, Dennis Broadwater (Tracy) of Batesville and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers are Trent Swaim, Shane Swaim, Rusty Keller, Philip Shewmaker, Rhett Keller, Ty Fairchild and Tom Arnold.
Graveside services will begin at 11:00am Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Dailey officiating.
Memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.

So very sad to hear about Janet passing away. I hate that I missed her funeral service. My husband had back surgery Monday and was not released from the hospital until 10:00 today. Janet was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed. Prayers for the family. Bob we are just down the street, text or call if you need anything.

I haven't seen Janet in years but the memories I have of us are so great. We are 4 months apart in age so I'd stay there every summer. We'd build houses w grass make necklaces out of those white weed flowers, feed the chickens and when our shirts got dirty, turn them inside out and keep wearing them. One day, one of the mean bulls chased us up the apple tree and we had to wait for someone to come shoo him off. Well, I'm babbling. I sure do love her and miss her. I have so many story's. You guys are all in my prayers.
