James E Smith, Jr. 63, of Paris, Arkansas passed away at his home, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born November 25, 1961 in Forrest City, Arkansas to his parents, James E Smith, Sr and Elizabeth (Ramsey) Smith. You would often see James riding his wheelchair up and down the streets of Paris going about his daily business. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his companion in life, LaVinia (McCoy) Smith; one brother and one sister.
James is survived by his brother, Daniel Smith of Homestead, Florida; his aunt, Mary (Smith) Hudson and several other family members and friends.
Graveside service and burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery next to his life companion LaVinia (McCoy) Smith, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Passed my house everyday. Sometimes 2 or 3 X. Rescued him with a dead battery on his wheelchair few times. Tried to make sure he had water to drink on those Arkansas hot days
