November 3, 1944 - January 21, 2025

Coy J. England, age 80 of Marshall, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born in Witts Springs, Arkansas on November 3rd, 1944 to Willie Garrison England and Ora Gordan Drewry England.

Coy was a member of the Grandview Church of Christ where he was faithful to attend until he was unable. Coy was a worker from a very young age, taking his shoe-shine kit to town for a nickel. He was described as determined and business-minded, owning a propane business for many years, even delivering to those in need on the weekends. In his retired years, he enjoyed team penning and produced one of the largest team penning events, with over 400 teams. He was very active in his community, serving as president of the Saddle Club, a member of the School Board, and a member of City Council. In 2018, he was awarded the ''Spirit of Searcy County''. He enjoyed drinking coffee with friends at the coffee shop and will be dearly missed by his community, family, and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Sanders England; brother, WM England; son, Charles England (Amy); daughter, Annie England Kennedy (Mike); grandchildren, Sarah ''Girlfriend'' Ponder (Blake), Bailey ''Bay-la-hay'' Hall (Jared), Shanna ''Bulldog'' Childress (Noah), and Emily ''Sunshine'' England; and great-grandchildren, Kenslee ''Kens'' Greene, Brayden ''Thumper'' Childress, Ava ''Dumplin'' Childress, and Henley ''Princess'' Hall.

Coy is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ora England; and three siblings, Billie Jean Epley, Joe England and Dale England.

Funeral services for Coy will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 24th, 2025 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Foy Whitelaw officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 till 11:00 AM preceding the service. Special music will be performed by Alan Guthrie and Shag Johnson. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall. Bearers will be Ronnie England, Billy Ray Drewry, Ken England, Roy McMahan, Joe Carl Sullivan and Mike Green. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Highland Court for the excellent care they gave to Coy. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CARTI of Conway or Highland Court in Marshall.

Coy never failed to to make us laugh. You couldn’t help but smile when you saw him coming. As a young couple he would give my husband something to work on so we could by milk and bread. He will be missed by us and the entire community. Prayers for Charlotte, Anne, Mike, and family/ families. Good men don’t die. They live in the hearts of everyone they have touched. Much Love.
