James ''Budd'' Edgar Stevens, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Flo and Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. He was born on February 22, 1941 in Black Oak, AR to Edgar and Emma (Anderson) Stevens. Budd spent 25 years working for the Craighead County Highway Department before retiring to enjoy whittling, knives, collecting guns and watching westerns and comedies.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Powell.
Left to remember Budd are his devoted daughters, Alice Lain and Jamey (Garrett) Bond; grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Julianne Demuth, Grant Lain and Caitlyn Sellers; great grandchildren, Ethan and Eli Davis; sister, Peggy Fletcher Smith; nieces, Beth Stayton and Lori Gist and many more friends and loved ones.
A service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home (1900 W. Washington Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401) with Pastor Nate Morse officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery.
A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1pm.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Davis, Grant Lain, Garrett Bond, Ethan Davis, Chad Hensley and Erich Higgins. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Lee Hensley.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear that your Dad has passed. Bud was a really good person. I have fond memories of all of us at Black Oak Assembly of God. Although I haven't seen him in several years I still considered him a dear friend. I am praying God's comfort for your family now.
