of Kensett, AR
August 19, 1925 - January 17, 2025
Murrell Hawkins Hilton was born August 19, 1925 in Cabot, AR to William B. Hawkins and Pearl Finley Hawkins. She departed to her heavenly home on January 17, 2025.
After approximately 40 years, she retired from the Ideal Bread Company at 75 years old. She was a devoted member of the Kensett First Baptist Church as exemplified by her and her sister, Pearl, attending every wedding, baby shower, funeral, church service, feeding the sick, visiting the nursing homes and singing in the church choir.
Her and her sister, Pearl, took great joy in being twins and could be found at local restaurants, always dressed alike. Affectionately known as The Divas, Murrell and Pearl, were homebound for ten years except for assisted trips to the doctor, hairdresser and restaurants.
They received excellent care from their daughters, Beverly Womack, Donna Hopper, Cathy Potter, Beth Ledbetter and Becky Handley. Murrell's ability to accept life's challenges with strength, her generosity, devotion to her family and sense of humor will be missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Hopper (Robin) of Searcy and Cathy Potter of Conway; three grandchildren, Suzanne Roach (Craig) of Jonesboro, Ross Hopper of Searcy, Robert Hopper of Fayetteville and great grandson, Owen Roach of Jonesboro and sister-in-law, Susie Hilton Spann of Bismarck. In addition, she leaves behind Beth and Becky and many other beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Superior Health and Rehab and Gentiva Hospice staff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob of 62 years; her siblings, Mary Quattlebaum, Ruby Clement McIntire, Pearl Palmer, William Hawkins and her son-in-law, Don Potter.
Visitation will be held 10:00AM Saturday, January 25, 2025 with Funeral Service to follow at Kennect City Church at the original KFBC Campus and burial will be at White County Memorial Gardens by Roller Daniel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Kennect City Church Building Fund, PO Box 692 Kensett, AR 72082.

You were such a dear lady and your smile always brighten the world. What a pair you and your sister was, we always loved talking to you. You left a place in our heart. We are praying for your family and friends, May God be with your loved ones in this difficult time , John Jr and Lynda Bailey
It was my absolute pleasure caring for Mrs. Murrell at Superior. She and her family were so kind to me and brightened my day every time we chatted. Mrs. Hilton never had a bad day, she was always kind and of course very funny. She made my difficult days at work worth every second. I will never forget the kindness she and her family have shown me. She will be greatly missed by all of superiors staff as we loved her dearly.
Condolences to the family and we're sure Aunt Murrell is on her way to the Hawkins Reunion in heaven!
I have so many precious memories of her serving, serving youth, my showers, and singing in the choir. She was so precious. She will be missed.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family.
How lucky she was to have a great family. I can see a Hawkins party in Heavan. We love you Aunt Murrell!
Please know, I care...
My love and prayers.
Ms. Esther
I just loved her and her sister. I always saw them together. I never could tell them apart but they always would wave at me wherever they were . She will be missed greatly.
I think that aside from my brothers, Murrell and Pearl were the first set of twins I knew, and I think they knew me from birth. I loved seeing them out and about, dressed alike, never being able to tell them apart. My sincerest condolences to all families.
