Sean McCasland

of Jonesboro, AR

June 20, 1966 - January 18, 2025

Sean Alexander McCasland, 58, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born June 20, 1966, in Memphis, TN, Sean grew up in Bono and graduated from Westside High School in Jonesboro, AR, in 1984.

Sean discovered his passion for printing while working alongside his father, which led to a dedicated career in the industry until his medical retirement in May 2020. He was a member of the Bono Church of Christ.

Sean is survived by his loving wife, Tina McCasland; sons, Alex McCasland (Madysen) of Dallas, TX, and Staff Sergeant Charles McCasland of the U.S. Marine Corps; and two cherished grandchildren, Heath and Holly McCasland of Dallas, TX. He also leaves behind his sister, Leslie Chrestman (Keith) of Jonesboro, AR; brothers, Kelly (Shadow) and Kevin McCasland of Memphis, TN; three nephews, numerous cousins, two aunts, and a host of lifelong and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Genevieve Tate McCasland, and his beloved daughter, Hollie McCasland Robeson.

Sean found joy in the great outdoors, spending time camping, canoeing, and tackling various DIY projects, including computer, car, and home repairs. Known for his dry wit and love of cats, Sean was always quick to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR, officiated by Richard Akins. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service.

Keith Chrestman, Jackson Chrestman, Alex McCasland, Charles McCasland, Randy McQuay, and Keith Livesay will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society in Sean's memory.

Sean was a sweet guy and fun to be around. I got to know him through Westside friends, and he always made me feel welcome. Tina and the kids meant the world to him. Its a sadder place without him.

He was a great person. His Facebook posts were the best! I loved how he spoke about his bride on Facebook. He was one of a kind and I am sad his days were cut short by illness. I'm praying for the McCaslands.
