of Conway, AR
March 26, 1933 - January 18, 2025
Mae Stubblefield Paxton of Conway, Arkansas passed from this life on January 18, 2025 at 91 years young.
She was a follower of Jesus Christ, made evident by her selfless and humble heart.
She was born on March 26, 1933 in Casscoe, Arkansas to the late George Clarence Stubblefield and the late Daisy Lillian Shelton.
In 1951 she graduated from Prattsville (Arkansas) High School as class Valedictorian. It is there that she met her future husband of over 65 years, the late Thomas Lee Paxton also of Conway, Arkansas.
Mae worked for many years as secretary at the Pine Bluff (Arkansas) High School Library and was involved in her church throughout her life. But it was her family to whom she was most devoted, providing a godly example to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Later in life, she would make craft items to give away to friends and she would also crochet wraps to provide to ''warming shelters'' in Conway. The warmth of her heart provided actual warmth to others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three sisters, Jill Halbert of Woodson, Arkansas, Kathleen Pumphrey and Joyce Paxton both of Sheridan, Arkansas; her children, Keith (Cindy) Paxton of Allen, Texas; Jeff Paxton of Conway, Arkansas; Mary (Scott) Whiteaker of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Crum, Emily (Marc) Jaso, Thomas Paxton, Alyssa Whiteaker, Drew Whiteaker and Toni (Eddy) Del Cid and great-grandchildren, Mila Moody, Isley Crum and Benjamin Jaso.

Aunt Mae was such a sweet soul who was a gift to all who knew her. She will be missed by so many family and friends who knew how special she was. Prayers to all of you. May she be reunited with her Savior and her loved ones who have gone before her. Love you dearly, Aunt Mae.
Mae took me under her wing at Brookdale and quickly became such a good friend to me. She took care of all of us there. She was a wonderful person and she will be deeply missed by so many.
Dear Jessica and Justin,
