John Michael Kane

of Conway, AR

September 1, 1954 - January 4, 2025

John Michael Kane, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and servant of God, passed away surrounded by family on January 4, 2025. Born on September 1, 1954 to John and Marianne Kane in San Francisco, California, he placed his trust in Christ at the tender age of 8, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to faith and service.

John grew up in Kingsburg, California along with his sisters, Margie and Julianne. He was involved in competitive swimming, band and choir. He graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas in June 1976. An exceptional athlete, he was later inducted into the Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor. While at Hendrix, he met the love of his life, Stephanie Jean Dell. The two were married on June 5, 1976 and shared nearly five decades of love, faith and family.

Professionally, John had a distinguished career, retiring from Acxiom after 37 years of dedicated service. He was known for his integrity, loyalty and the pursuit of excellence. He attended First Baptist Church in Vilonia, where he served as a deacon. He loved being on the worship team and the missions team.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; their three children, Nicole Burns, Sara Brock (Kenneth) and Michael Kane (Heather); six grandchildren, Kaylee Inglett (Alec), Connor Brock, Katie Jo Brock, Caleb Brock, Autumn Kane and Ezra Kane; two great-grandchildren, Ventus Inglett and Iris Inglett; his parents; mother-in-law; two sisters and their husbands and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

John was more than a family man, he was a spiritual guide who raised his children to love the Lord, instilling in them values that will last generations. His legacy is one of love, faith and service and he will be profoundly missed but joyously remembered by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Vilonia. Family visitation will be at 10:00am with a celebration of life beginning at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the missions fund of First Baptist Church, Vilonia continuing his legacy of giving and service.

I have such fond memories of my high school friendship with John. He was an admirable example of a young person who lived his life with integrity, loved his Lord and Savior, swam like a fish, and was a kind and loyal friend. Stephanie, and the entire Kane family, my prayer today is that you feel the loving and comforting arms of Jesus wrap you in a warm embrace and give you peace than can only come from God. We don’t mourn as those who have no hope, but know that John is healthy and enjoying the presence of Jesus, and we will see him again.

My sympathies to you, Stephanie and the kids on John’s passing.
We as believers in Christ know, that a reunion and better time is just ahead.
Like many others here, I worked around John at Acxiom years ago, but his legacy here is family and faithfulness to our GOD.

Mr. Kane was always present at our softball games! I loved playing on a team with his daughter, Nicole, and hitching a ride with his family when I needed to go somewhere. He was a quiet man who had a joke up his sleeve and took great care of his family.

I’m sorry for your loss Kane family.

I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. John Michael Kane . However, I have met his wonderful Daughter Sarah and who she is says so much about her beloved Father and I'm sure her Mother also. Heavenly Father, please bless this family with your comfort and joy that passes the world's understanding as they continue in your service here on earth without him

I worked with John for many years at Acxiom. He was a kind and gentle voice in all situations, his faith shining through each and every day. It was an honor to work with him and call him a brother in Christ.

While he will be missed here on earth, I rest in knowing he is at the feet of Jesus, celebrating!

Praying for his family and friends!
