Minnie Carolyn Martin passed away peacefully on Monday, January the 6th, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old. Minnie was born to Guy and Opal (Horton) Sharp near Ash Flat, Arkansas on November 11, 1934.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Opal Sharp; her husband, Robert Harley Martin; her son, Robert Forrest Martin; her granddaughter, Erica Colleen Keller; three sisters, Hildred Johnson, Kathryn Parvin and Paula Romine and three brothers, Travis, Dale and Steve Sharp.
Minnie was of Christian faith and attended the Church of Christ throughout her life. Minnie grew up on a farm in Ash Flat, Arkansas where she grew up with her 10 siblings. Also in that small town of Ash Flat, she met her husband, Robert H. Martin. They were married on October 30, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas and were married for 61 years until his passing in 2015. Minnie was a loving and doting mother to her three children, Dawn, Robert and Lance, being actively involved in their lives by volunteering tirelessly to their school, scouting and sporting activities. Minnie was also a loving grandmother and cherished the times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. While she was a homemaker for most of her life, she later in life worked for the Bank of West Memphis. Minnie was a beautiful soul and her selflessness knew no bounds. She truly put the needs of others before herself and her smile lit up any room that she entered. She enjoyed gardening, painting, golf and spending time with her family and friends.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Dawn Lehr (Gene) of West Memphis, Arkansas; her son, Lance Martin (Diane) of Germantown, Tennessee; granddaughter, Ashley Martin; grandson, Jay Keller (Heather); granddaughter, Chloe Martin and three great-grandchildren, Hadley, Harper and Jack.
The family expresses special thanks to administrators and caregivers at Springs of Broadway and Willow Bend.
Services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas on Friday, January 17, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11:00 a.m. followed by service at 12:00.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dementia Society or the charity of the donor's choice. Burial will be Friday, January 17, 2025 in Crittenden Memorial Cemetery in Marion, Arkansas following the service.

Dawn and Lance. Your Wichita family is thinking of you and family. Minnie has always been a very special gal. Mom (Ann) always said Minnie was so special to her, going back to late 50's, early 60's when Minnie and Bob visited in Wichita. So sad in her passing but in heaven with so many of our family.

I remember Minnie when she worked at Bank of West Memphis. She was a lovely lady and we became friends after she helped me several times at the bank.
