of Yellville, AR
January 22, 1949 - January 4, 2025
Donald (Don) K. Trigleth (75) of Yellville, AR passed away on January 4, 2025. He had proudly called the Ozarks home for the last 15 years post-retirement, having lived previously in Florida and Illinois. He attended school in Brownstown, IL and college at Lakeland Community College in Mattoon, IL. He retired 24 years ago from the US Postal Service in North Port, FL. Don loved the outdoors, various hobbies and gardening. He thoroughly enjoyed talking to and genuinely cared about people. He rarely, if ever, met a stranger. It is for all these reasons that he and Nina settled in Yellville upon retiring. Together they built their dream home nestled in the Ozarks. They worked together to build their retirement haven. He had a generous heart, a warm sense of humor and worked hard to provide for his family. He was also a proud US Army Veteran.
Don married on January 6, 1973 and is survived by his wife, Nina. They raised four children, Annie (Rick) Ellis of Elgin, SC; Angela Fryar of Yellville, AR; Amanda Trigleth (John Hunneman) San Antonio, TX and Deke (Brooke) Trigleth of North Canton, OH. Don leaves behind six grandchildren, Hannah McMillan, Austin Fryar, Trey, Emma, Evan and Lydia Trigleth and one great granddaughter, Dulaney McMillan. He is survived by two brothers, Tim (Barb) Trigleth, Kenneth (Linda) Trigleth and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irwin Lonzo Trigleth and Elnora Taylor Trigleth and ten siblings.
Per Don's wishes, no service will be held at this time. The family humbly requests in lieu of flowers, please carry on Don's charitable heart by making a donation to the ALS Association or the charity of your choice in his honor.
Don's love language was food. Everyone who knew and loved him knows ''Supper's at 6''!
Nina, my friend. I am thinking of you and your family as you enter this new life journey without Don. I only met him a few times but he made you happy and was quite open, friendly and loved his family so that was what counted to me. You deserved the best and that’s what you had. Know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. May your memories give you comfort. Diane
Angie & Family -- I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm sure you all feel a large hole in your lives. Prayers...
Sending prayers to the family. Angie my friend my thoughts are with you.
The tribute you expressed about your father and husband was very heart warming. Don was exactly the same to us. He was a great neighbor and a very kind soul. Like Nina and Don we settled in the ozark mountains for the same reasons. We are sure that Don would agree that living here was like living in "God's country " and he enjoyed every bit of it.
When Don started to become quite ill and couldn't venture around and about like he liked to do, we can only imagine how difficult this was for him.
It was very fortunate that most of his family was here for Christmas, little did all of you know that it was to be his last Christmas with his family. We are sure that your visit meant alot to him as well as to all of you.
It is our prayer that within time, wonderful memories will replace the sorrow you may feel in your hearts. We will keep all of you in our daily prayers and may Don rest in peace for all of eternity.
With our utmost sympathy's,
Christine and Val Perovich
Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers & sending all my love.
I cherish all the good memories of Sun. Dinners at your mom and Dad's farm. All the family would gather and spend the day visiting while us kids played and chased the animals. Always remember your kind spitit. Praying for comfort and peace for your family. Rest in peace sweet cousin.
Don, you held a special place in my heart you always treated my son Rick like a father. When I met you in Florida you always talked about owning land on a hill and would build yours and Nina dream home and you accomplished that. I’m proud to call you my friend. You will be missed. Rest in peace Don , no more suffering Patsy
I’m deeply saddened by this family’s loss. Angie has such a special place in my heart.
Dad, you were a giant to me growing up, and today I saw you tall one final time. Thank you for being my dad when you didn’t have to be. You’ll always be a part of me, Rick, and my child, and thankfully my grandbaby got to meet you and loved you instantly. We’ll fill her with lots of stories of you, and great recipes too! Food was your love language and we’ll cheers to you with crackers, black jelly beans, root beer barrels, and Yoo-hoo.
I love you dad, Annie
