Myra, I am so sorry to find out Jack has left us. Worked with Jack at continental where we became friends, and I still cherished that friendship. We will never forget the time that we came to yawls home on Kathleen just past the bypass and went horseback riding. The pony that Jack put Shannon on (our son) decided it did not like following and decided it would lead for a while. The pony bolted out around all the other horses and went under a tree with a low hanging limb, knocking him off the horse. I just knew it was over. Jack leaped off his horse, caught the pony, lead it over to Shannon. Jack asked Shannon if he was okay, before Shannon could say anything, Jack grabbed him by the arm and put him back on the pony and we finished our ride. We often talked about that when I would see Jack at the stores in Brookland. I know he will be missed by you, Patricia, and the grand kids. Judy and I would have been there, but I just found out from our Street Supervisor Jeff Vernon today. We will be praying for you all!
Myra and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of Jack. I only met him in passing but he was always riding his horse or a wagon around PineLog area and always was so friendly. My prayers go out for you all. May God grant you peace and give you comfort in the days weeks and months to come.
