Dolores Jessie Froelich

of Conway, AR

November 16, 1934 - January 3, 2025

Dolores Jessie (Wawerzin) Froelich beloved mother to five children, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 90 years of age at Superior Health and Rehab surrounded by many of her family members.

Dolores was born in Menominee, MI in 1934 to Alfred Wawerzin and Catherine Margaret Wawerzin (Supple). Dolores' primary and secondary education took her through 11th grade. She later earned her GED in 1979 and then on July 10, 1981, she received her School of Practical Nursing (LPN) Diploma thru Baptist Medical Center. Dolores worked as an LPN for many years at Baptist Health NLR as well as Conway Regional until she retired.

Dolores raised five children with one becoming a United States Marine…a fact she never hesitated to mention when answering questions about her children! And she raised multiple dogs & cats thru the years…she NEVER met a dog she didn't love! She is fondly and lovingly remembered not only by her family but by the many people, young and old, who were blessed to be welcomed into her family's home, especially when their visit included one of her wonderful, tasty homecooked meals and dessert. Her First Baptist Church family enjoyed many a Wednesday night meal she prepared before Prayer Meeting each week during her years as church hostess. As her children ''left the nest'' she had more & more free time on her hands which she spent gardening and bird watching. She always provided fresh water and plenty of seed for the birds. And every spring, at the first appearance of a hummingbird her two feeders were filled with sugar water. As the hot Arkansas summers rolled around you could find twenty to thirty hummingbirds fighting over the fresh, cool, homemade sugar water she prepared daily for them. Not only did Dolores ''look well to the ways of her own household'' (Prov. 31:27) but she always cared for any dogs & cats that showed up at her door and the birds that flew by her windows!

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Froelich; daughter, Debra Taylor and three brothers-in-law. Dolores is survived by her sons, Michael (Patricia) Ruesing, David (Jeanie) Ruesing, Daniel (Kathy) Ruesing and her daughter, Denise (Mark) Frerichs. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Virginia (Steve) Lotito, Amanda Ruesing, Elizabeth (Jan-Michael) Molica, Jessica (Rusty) Miller, Jonathan (Haley) Frerichs, David Lee Ruesing, Tori (Marshall) Bruns, Cody (Soleya) Ruesing along with seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Dorothy Talbert, Jessie Vandenberg, Ruth Doud and Diana (Bruce) Roberts.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 7:30pm at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home and a graveside service at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 2:00pm.
