Elaine Henry, 82, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed into the arms of her lord and savior on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Patrick J. and Mary Adele Walsh.
Elaine began her adult life as a candy striper, enjoyed volunteering and was dedicated to helping others who needed help. She attended two years of college and worked professionally for many years at the Central Arkansas Waterworks, where she met her husband, Charles Val Henry. She was a woman of faith and wore many hats, but the hat she wore proudly was that of a strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. What she loved to do most of all was to spend time with and spoil her great grandchildren.
Of Baptist faith, she and her husband are prior members of Baring Cross Baptist Church, Immanuel Baptist Church and are current members of First Baptist Church of Sherwood.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Patrick J. Walsh and mother, Mary Adele (Walsh) Pigg. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles Val Henry; four children, Teresa Faught (Steve), Christopher Rowell (Terry), Timmothy Henry (Gary) and Shannon Ridge; four grandchildren, Jeremy Brewer (Ashly), Tommy Boren (Sara), Dustyne Bryant (Scotty), Chelsie Jeffries (Michael) and nine great-grandchildren.

Val, I am so sorry to hear of Elaines passing. She was always such a sweet lady. I know you will miss her deeply. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
