Josephine ''Jo'' Ann Faisst, 89, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Jo was born on November 11, 1935, the youngest daughter of Herman and Minnie (Meyer) Faisst. After graduating from Bryant High School in 1953 Jo went on to become an Accounting Supervisor for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration where she retired after 34 years of service. After her retirement, Jo remained an active servant of her community. She was a decade-long Pink Lady volunteer at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong Lutheran and member of Zion Lutheran Church where she served as a member of the LWML, member of the choir and volunteer for the church food pantry for 20 years. She was also instrumental in the founding of Avila Christian Academy as one of the first Pre-K teachers.

Jo was a fun-loving woman and a joy to be around. She loved her animals, watching Razorback football and spending time with her family and friends. ''Aunt Jo'' was a beloved aunt and friend. She will be remembered for her compassionate and generous spirit, her dedication to her family and church and her life of service. She will be greatly missed.

Jo is preceded in death by her mother and father, Minnie and Herman Faisst of Alexander; brother, Wayne Faisst of Hot Springs; sister, Hermena and brother-in-law, Tj Pritchard of Alexander and nephew, David Faisst of Alexander.

She is survived by her niece, Ellen Pinto (Frank); brother, Johnny (Sis) Farchman of Alexander; great nephews, Josh Pinto (Amanda) and Jarrod Pinto (Ginger) of Alexander; great niece, Dawn Faisst; great great nephews, Jack Pinto and Andrew Pinto; great great niece, Stevie Faisst (Donnie) of Jacksonville; great great great nephew, Harrison and dear friends, Ruth, Sarah, Gina and Connie.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Avilla.

Burial will follow the service in the Zion Lutheran Church - Avilla Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Lutheran School,18181 I-30 Frontage, Benton, AR 72015 or Human Society of Saline County, 7600 Bauxite Highway, Bauxite, AR 72011.
