John "R.J" Patrick Lichner

of Mountain Home, AR

September 29, 1944 - December 26, 2024

John Patrick Lichner was a one of a kind man. John has been on his own since he was seventeen and volunteered for the Vietnam War.
Corporal John Lichners time in Vietnam had him seeing combat and too many deceased. Unfortunately, it affected him quietly forever.
After service, he had several trades until he settled into commercial sprinkler fitting, which included a lot of travel- which he loved, and five years in Hawaii. He ended up retiring as a journeyman fitter.

John had several different homes, but fell in love with Arkansas, he spent his last 20 years.
He bought a ranch, raised horses and any other animals that needed a home. John loved his ranch and play toys, and having his children and family come stay with him.
John had a wonderful crossover to meet the Lord and family members. He was surrounded by his children, brothers and sisters, and passed peacefully and comfortably.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Our thoughts & prayers go out to all who knew Uncle John. May his memory live on forever in the stories, laughter, and love you shared.

To you Uncle Johnny, thank you for gracing us with your laughter, love and big warm hugs. Whenever you did get a chance to visit us in Michigan, you always lit up any room that you were in with your big personality and beautiful smile. You always had a way of making me feel special. Thank you for that! Love you! Nettie

Our thoughts & prayers go out to Uncle John's children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers & friends.

To you Uncle Johnny, I can always remember the first time I met you. I was a little girl looking up at you and remember thinking inside,"he must be the tallest man in the world". I've never forgotten that impression. When someone spoke about the "Lichner's" that impression always came to my mind.

Seeing you this past Oct is another
impression that will be forever imprinted upon my heart. You welcomed me, my husband Ron & Liz into your home with a warmth & graciousness that was beautiful. It was like no time had past in between being a little kid and an adult.

It was fun sharing family history, stories and pictures. You were passionate about life, family, home, friends & animals.

Like Ron says, you were kind, gentle & soft spoken. And you had a passion for all you did in life.

I know we had plans to get together again this spring, we will still go back to beautiful Arkansas and when we walk there and breath in the air, you will be right there with us!

You're always in our heart.

Please accept the Oregon family sincerest condolences. Praying peace and comfort for you all.

My father and John are brothers. Having only met Uncle Johnny once in person, but then getting to know him more via phone conversations over the past few years, I am so thankful even for that. His soft and easy voice with a slight accent was soothing and He was easy to talk to about anything. I could tell by our conversation He had a kind heart and was a family man. Hard to see another Lichner go but We will see you on the other side of eternity Uncle.
