Nina, was a beautiful person inside and out. My Mother was in Bible Study Fellowship with her and thought she was a sweetheart. A few years later when I met her and got to know her I have felt the same way . She will be missed.
I always enjoyed visiting with Nina when Ray and Farrill were playing their music.
Aunt Nina, you were a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. I loved you very much! Rest in peace, Sweet Lady!
Years ago, my husband and I hosted a family get-together at our place in Missouri. A very competitive golf tournament was planned for the next day by the golfing members. Folks from Arkansas and Texas were all arriving. Faril drove up and jumped out of the car, waving those long arms for attention. He pointed to the car with a huge grin on his face. Nina slowly emerged and started toward the shocked group gathered on the lawn. She was festooned with small plastic pink golf clubs, glove, towel, all sorts of toy golf stuff, and was topped off with a straw pork pie hat!
As she came toward us, she called , "Ronald Ronald Where's my brother" When she saw him, she cried, "Surprise! I'm going to be your golf partner tomorrow!!" Seeing such a regal, poised and always dignified lady dressed like that was hilarious.
Around her neck also hung a small stuffed doll with 'Nobody's Perfect' written on it. Well, Aunt Nina, you sure came close.
Aunt Nina you were a true angel on earth. You and Uncle Faril were such amazing role models. As we miss you here we know you are reunited again. Love you always.
How the memories flood my mind of the years we lived in the same neighborhood, went to church together, laughed and loved all the music together. I know there will be a greater choir, music too wonderful to even imagine here and best of all....no closing prayer.
What a sweet soul...I can hardly imagine the joyous reunion she's having with Doc and their other Family members and Friends. I am privileged beyond measure to know Miss Nina. I pray that her Family's grief will very soon be overwhelmed by the warm memories of her. Rest In Peace Miss Nina.
