of Mountain Home, AR
April 13, 1942 - December 29, 2024
Lonene Mae Britt, 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away from this life on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1942 in Flippin, Arkansas to Lonnie Davis and Lonetta Mae Carroll Davis.
Lonene married the love of her life, Ronald Britt, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Little White Wedding Chapel. Lonene was one of the first 25 people hired at Baxter Lab on February 07, 1964, which was the first day for the Mountain Home plant. She worked there for 31 years before retiring in 1995. Many have said she was the best boss they ever had.
Lonene loved to do anything outside. She loved mowing, brush hogging, hunting, fishing, planting flowers, bushes, trees and made a beautiful garden every year for many years. She was the fixer of anything broken and the builder of anything that needed building. She was a huge Razorbacks fan. She looked forward to watching football, basketball, baseball and softball games and rarely missed one unless it was not televised. Her family was precious to her. She was the best mom, mother-in-law and grandma (Nenee) anyone could ever ask for. She would always say, ''I love you with all my heart, plus one, whatever you say, ditto, ditto, ditto!''. She was a Christian woman that loved the Lord and studied His word cover to cover and loved having Bible study.
Lonene is survived by her children: daughter, Sherry Scott (Phillip Hudnall) of Mountain Home; son, Wade Britt (Melanie) of Mountain Home; grandchildren, Jess Watson (Coty), Ethan Britt (Brittany), Jerrad Britt (Lex) and Dustin Scott (Bridget Isakson); great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Maria, Beckett, Ella, Violet and Luca; step-great-grandchildren, Ever and Opal; brother-in-law, Mike Britt (Pattie); life-long best friends, Linda Cox and Carolyn Pangle and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Anna McCoy and Mary Dell Briggs of Manteca California and Reola Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Britt, Wynonna Britt, Nadine Dewey, June Kellum, Ruby Jean Cowart and Sharon Hower and brothers-in-law, Ray Britt, Norman Britt, Donnie Britt, Glen ''Tiny'' Britt, Melvin McCoy, Bob Briggs and Bob Johnson.
The family would like to say a special ''Thank You'' to Hospice of the Ozarks and their employees Mikalya Courtney, Angela Berry, Megan Mihalko and care giver Vicky Truster for the excellent care and love they gave to their sweet mom.
A visitation will be held between 1-2:00pm on Thursday, January 2, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Interment will be at East Oakland Cemetery.

Dear Britt Family. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our families have known each other for what seems like forever. I enjoyed seeing and visiting with Lonene in Town and Country while we were grocery shopping. Sometimes dad would be with me and they'd get to visit for a moment. I am proud to have known her and cherish the friendship of our families. With love and condolences, Patricia (Kasinger) and Mike Turner
I work with Jess Watson and have heard so many good things about her NeNe that I wanted to meet her myself. Please be comforted in knowing that as a believer she is peaceful now and resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior. You will see her again. Until then I’m sure she would want you all to be happy, healthy and whole.
Sherry and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. Our prayers are with each of you during this difficult time.

What a sweet lady! We had so much fun when we were teenagers, laughing and talking about everything! It was great when we reconnected after I came back home to Arkansas.
